Bewitched
The Bewitched TV show was a fantasy, comedy series about a mortal man (Darrin Stevens) who falls in love with and marries a Witch (Samantha). His wife's family is very against the marriage and he suffers one headache after another dealing with them. How would you like to be turned into a mouse after a fight with an in-law? Or be forced to laugh at your boss because your mother-in-law thought you needed a better sense of humor? Darrin found out about Samantha's powers on their honeymoon. After the initial shock was over, he agreed to stick by the marriage only if Samantha promised to never use her powers again. She did promise, but it didn't last long! She had to reverse the spells her family put on Darrin, didn't she? And would you clean house all day long if you had magical powers? To spice things up a little (as if it wasn't already spicy enough), the couple had a baby (Tabitha) halfway through the second season. Many episodes were spent wondering whether Tabitha would be Witch or Mortal! Eventually we found her to be a Witch and later she got a little brother who was Mortal.
The TV show won 2 Emmy Awards: In 1966,William Asher won for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy. In 1968, Marion Lorne won for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Comedy. Who was Pandora Spocks? Pandora Spocks was listed in the Bewitched credits as playing the role of Serena. Of course, Elizabeth Montgomery actually played both Samantha & Serena, but many people at the time believed that she had a "twin" or a "look alike" Who Played Dr. Zaius in the Planet of the Apes Movies? Maurice Evans who played Samantha's "daddy" on Bewitched was under all that ape makeup! Where Did Aunt Esmeralda Get Her Name? Alice Ghostley (Aunt Esmeralda) originally appeared in one of the Bewitched episodes titled, "Maid to Order" as the "ditsy" maid Naomi. In that same episode, she takes over for the Tates' sick maid and really messes up their dinner for clients. The Tates' sick maid's name was (you guessed it!) - Esmeralda!
June Lockhart (Lassie & Lost in Space) in the Bewitched episode, "Little Pictures Have Big Ears" Raquel Welch as a stewardess in "Witch or Wife" Adam West (Batman) in "Love is Blind" Willie Mays as himself in the Bewitched episode "Twitch or Treat" Isabel Sanford (The Jeffersons) as Aunt Jenny in "Samantha Goes South For a Spell" Tom Bosley (Happy Days) in "Samantha's Majic Mirror" Cesar Romero in "Salem, Here We Come" Will Geer (The Waltons) in "George Washington Zapped Here: Pts. 1 & 2"
Bewitched, Bewitched, You've got me in your spell. Bewitched, Bewitched, You know your craft so well. Before I knew what I was doing, I looked in your eyes. That brand of woo you've been brewin', Took me by surprise. You witch, you witch, One thing is for sure. That stuff you pitch, Just hasn't got a cure. I never thought that I could be had, But now I'm caught and I'm kinda glad to be Bewitched.

Bewitched June 24, 2005 Columbia Pictures
Synopsis: As the star of the dimwitted delight "Bewitched," Elizabeth Montgomery wiggled her button nose at a husband whose bumbling ways turned a topical power struggle into the stuff of canned laughter. "Bewitched" is now a big-screen movie with Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell and a nicely tuned supporting cast. Because the ethereally beautiful Ms. Kidman no longer resembles a real person, having been buffed to almost supernatural perfection in the way of most modern stars, casting her as a witch was inspired. Equally clever is the film's core conceit, which finds her playing Isabel Bigelow, a reluctant witch who is cast as Samantha in a remake of the original sitcom. Outside of the performers there isn't much to look at here, but given the cavalcade of supporting characters there are some distractions. The cast keeps the film in gear until it hits the hour mark, whereupon it dies. The film's screenwriters conjured up a very clever gimmick when they decided to revamp a favorite 60's television show. Too bad they forgot that a gimmick is no substitute for a screenplay, never mind a real movie.
